Bave is my newest mommy model (though she may seem younger than she actually is).  Here is her recent adult pettishoot.

I know my daughter’s picture with our pet, Ziclen is the winning photo.  The subject is really about the favorite pets.  But I just have to say that Vien is wearing The Pettiskirt’s Purple Zebra Stripes Swing Top and Hat.

This photo shoot is actually for the swing top, but Ziclen joined in.

This is in the January 2012 issue of Working Mom Magazine.

Hello,

I turned 30 just before Christmas.  I enjoyed my day without working, of course. And I spent it with my whole family.  We ate at Seafood Island’s in UP Ayala Technohub.

Enjoy the pictures.

Here I am with my 30th birthday cake. Please, no complaining.  I feel 24. =)

And me with my little model.

The two people whom I owe all my successes from.

My little model again. She loves to pose a lot.

The food! Yum!!!

Palawan Boodle – My favorite in this boodle are the assorted seaweeds.  Vien loves the corn.

Bicolandia Boodle. My personal favorite.  I love the Bicol Express and the their version of laing.  I love the clams, and mussel.  And most of all, I love the crabs!  I love the rice too.

Tali Beach Boodle – The shrimps remind me of hangman game.  I love the presentation of the food.  So well-presented.

The happy kids.

My whole family. They are my inspiration.  My sister and my brother in law are not here.  I miss them. But hopefully next year, they will be with us.

I thank God for all the successes.  It’s not possible if it wasn’t for Him.  He meant it to be like this.

Christine Everth – The Pettiskirt

Kaiya Eve

Kaiya Eve is the inspiration of Christine Everth – The Pettiskirt.  It’s not the namesake.  It is purely coincidental that my name is somewhat similar to Kaiya Eve and that I love their pettiskirts.  I fell in love with Kaiya Eve pettiskirts the first moment I saw them 2 years ago.  I said I wanted one, but it was just too expensive for me.  A friend actually spent almost P20,000 (Philippine Pesos) for two skirts including shipping.  And I didn’t have that luxury for my little girl.  I still don’t really.

Sad News About Kaiya Eve

A pettiskirt seller in the US sent a newsletter that Kaiya Eve will be closing this 2011.  It was a truly sad news for me.  My inspiration is saying goodbye.  The designer will be moving on to greener pastures I hope.   Her pettiskirt line has come to an end.  The last stocks and selection you will find online and on stores will be the last that will be sold.  Oh, I so love that raspberry color pettiskirt.

I guess I will have to order at least one for my little girl.  It will be a collector’s item soon.  This is definitely a must-have for my pettiskirt collection.  Even just one.

Kaiya Eve Website

I hope they will not take down the Kaiya Eve website.  I still want to see photos of little girls in their gallery.  I love watching little girls wearing fascinating pettiskirts and tops.  But I just visited the website and it currently says account suspended.  That’s so sad.

Goodbye, Kaiya Eve.

Even before I became a Mom, I dreamed about having my daughter and I wear matching outfits – and in this case, matching holiday shoes.

Photo of Our Matching Holiday Shoes

matching holiday shoes

I had these matching holiday shoes custom made ftom Mandaue, Cebu. The online store’s name is Sam’s Corner in Facebook.  I ordered 1-inch high shoes for my daughter, and 3-inch heels shoes for me.  I love the white color and the sparkly design.  It’s the perfect 2011 matching holiday shoes.

Vien was very thrilled when she saw the matching holiday shoes. She said she loved the shoes.  She wore it right away, without asking for help from me.  Fits her perfectly.

Matching Holiday Shoes and Multi-way Top

Soon, I’m going to make a matching multi-way top for both of us. A dear friend, who also is into sewing hobby, inspired me to also make a multi-way top.  It will be the perfect matching clothes for our matching holiday shoes.  I will post a picture when I finally made the top.

I plan to wear the matching holiday shoes on New Year. . . And maybe on Christmas.  And maybe Vien can wear it too on one of her fashion shows.

I might order again next time. A different design.  I’m enjoying wearing matching outfits with my daughter. It makes me feel more of a mom, and my daughter as my very own.

seamstress

I’m really having difficulty working on a lot of orders by myself.  This super small business is growing. A lot of orders and inquiries coming in, and I have very few manpower.

I’m looking for a seamstress to help me with all the work.  I’m having difficulty juggling hundreds of work for tens of client, plus being a mom and a wife to demanding kid and husband.  manpower.

No, they don’t demand from me, but their activities require me.

Sigh!!!  I hope to get everything ironed out, and my schedule sorted out soon.  It will be Christmas soon and I need to get the finance ball rolling.
